I'm so sorry that I've not signed on in a while. We did it, we moved! I can hardly believe it myself, just a few months ago I was kicking around the idea of moving and some how, taking one step ahead of another... we've done it. After weeks of packing, organizing, planning (and driving lessons) we made the big leap. Kajal and my mother flew down first and with the help of two of my closest friends... I made the 18 hour drive to Charleston South Carolina. We've been here one week now and are settling into our temporary apartment until our home is ready for us to move into.  We're actually going to move into a house! As an adult, I've never lived in anything other than an apartment... I can hardly wait to create a true home for Kajal, with a front yard and a back one! It sounds simple but when public parks and streets are what you're used to the idea of a yard, with grass, is pretty incredible.

Kajal is taking the change really well. She's been in the apartment pool every day and started school here this week. Her nightmares did return for a week or so but even those have seemed to slow down and she's hit a wonderful pace.  It still feels like we're on a vacation vs in a new home town but I trust over time, we'll settle in. My mother is living with us now and we're all brimming with excitement and possibility about what the future might hold.
